Registration procedure
Deadline for registration: 1 June 2025
- Final confirmation on acceptance to the Summer School will be given on23 June 2025
- Final confirmation on acceptance of the abstract will be given on 23 June 2025
- The deadline for cancellation and refund of the registration fee is 28 July 2025
Fee
There is no fee for the summer school, however transportation (including an Excursion to Roskilde), accommodation and food must be paid for by the students themselves.
Registration criteria
The Summer School is primarily open to advanced MA students, PhD students or postdocs in philosophy or related fields.
NOTE: Since spring 2023 Danish universities have not accepted visitors or students with financing from the CSC (Chinese Scholarship Council) since the terms of the contracts that CSC scholarship holders force them to sign compromise their working and living conditions and are inconsistent with academic freedom as it is understood at Danish universities.
Submit an abstract
When registering you must also submit an abstract to be accepted to the summer school.
Abstracts must be max 250 words in length and contain a brief statement on why you are applying to the summer school and what you hope to gain from it.
The deadline for submitting an abstract is 1 June 2025.
How to submit an abstract
- Send an email with your abstract included as an attachment (acceptable formats: .doc, .docx, .rtf, and .pdf)
- Make sure that the subject line of the email reads: “Abstract Copenhagen Summer School 2025”
- Address the email to Martin Fog Arndal.

Please note that the fees and documentation requirements are set by each diplomatic mission.
Summer School participants from countries requiring a visa will be provided with a visa invitation from the University of Copenhagen after final confirmation on acceptance to the Summer School which will be given on 23 June 2025.
