Shaping Women Philosophers

AFLYST.

Book talk and conversation about a recently published anthology edited by Sabrina Ebbersmeyer.

The discussion will centre on the book and its themes, while also addressing the lack of recognition of women in the history of philosophy, the challenges they faced, and the ways in which they navigated their paths toward authorship.

The event will be moderated, and there will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.

The book is part of the project Archaeology of the Female Intellectual Identity (AFII), which ran from 1 November 2019 to 18 December 2023 with Ebbersmeyer as Principal Investigator and funding from the Independent Research Fund Denmark. You can read more about the project here.
